• The nearest (28 km) railway station is Assen, which is south-east from Bakkeveen. An alternative is the railway station in Heereveen (or nearby Wolvega), which is south-west from Bakkeveen but a bit further. From both you can take busses to near the venue.

• Plan your public transport route via 9292.nl and use the venue address as location. Traveling to the venue is a bit complex due to the many changes needed to get there. It involves train + bus + walking. This planning site covers all train and bus lines, and is prefered over www.ns.nl since that one covers only trains from the national railway company.

• You cannot simply buy a ticket in the bus and pay cash for it. Simple tickets have been replaced by complex method using electronic cards. Read therefore the ticket explanation in advance about the different options. A new development is using your normal bankcard as “ticket” called “OVpay”. This simplifies matters for foreigners significantly when they have no benefit of buying an OV-chipcard just for single use.
